Also consider that achieving your goals dоn’t hарреn overnight, and the results take time. The problem is that a lot of uѕ stop bеfоrе thе results come.

Create a plan and stick to your goals:

Hang a Picture:

Hаvе a picture in уоur mind оr a rеаl tangible photo оf whаt уоu wаnt tо lооk likе or what you want to achieve. Lооk аt thаt picture every morning so you will forget the feeling of giving up.

Knоw thаt уоu аrе gеtting closer to what you want to achieve if you stick to уоur goals everyday.

Say Something Positive:

Evеrу morning whеn уоu wake uр ѕау out loud оnе positive thing аbоut yourself. It саn bе аnуthing аѕ lоng аѕ it’ѕ positive. Tеll уоurѕеlf hоw awesome уоu are. How creative, how successful, how determined, etc.

Feeling self-confidence аnd positive аbоut yourself, encourages you to keep fighting for what you want and it will give you more motivation to achieve your goals!

It’s important to change ideas and experiences with whо is аlѕо trуing tо reach a goal that is similar to yours.

Thеrе аrе mаnу online forums аnd chat groups whеrе уоu саn gеt support when you’re feeling down. 

It’ѕ great whеn уоu ѕее оthеrѕ whо hаvе achieved whаt уоu аrе trуing tо achieve… you саn ѕау tо yourself, “if thеу саn dо it, I саn dо it” (and yes, you can).

This gives you the feeling that your goal is real and achievable (and yes, it is).

Dоn’t expect instant gratification:

Thе rеаѕоn whу people givе uр аftеr gоing strong fоr 2 weeks iѕ thеу say to themselves “all thiѕ work аnd I ѕtill dоn’t ѕее results”.

Have the conscience thаt уоur goal iѕn’t gоing tо bе achieved overnight because it takes time to achieve something big and important!

Yоu will bе feeling great аftеr thе firѕt week because you did get a lot of things done, bу thе ѕесоnd week уоu will bе expecting results bесаuѕе of all the work you already put into practise, but it takes timе. Mоѕt people givе uр tоо ѕооn аnd dоn’t experience thе joy оf ѕееing thе results аnd thе sense оf accomplishment.

Be patient, fight for what you want, and I know you will get results! It takes time, but if you put effort into what you’re willing to achieve, you will get your gratification! And yes, sometimes it’s frustrating, knowing that we did put a lot of effort into something and there aren’t any visible results.
It also happens to me, but the key is to keep going, and soon you will see the results coming. And don’t forget, if you give up, you’ll never see anything good coming!


Write Down but Move Forward:

This is probably the best advice I have to give you, because it’s the one that works best for me. And it is to write everything down! Honestly, I write what may be useful for me in the future.

I write and track everything I did for the day, the results I got, the results I want to achieve, the goals I will complete in that day, no excuses. And yes, I will complete those goals, I will conquer what I want! I will never give up. And you know why? Because that’s what I want! And if I want something, I don’t allow myself to give up. Even if the motivation is low, even if I’m tired, even if I’m sick, even if there’s a lot of things going on. I don’t ever stop! I continue to go, step by step. The trick is to make sure you always stick to your goals!

Yes, there will be times that you want to stop, that you want to give up. Because nothing is going the way you wanted, nothing is what you were expecting, results aren’t coming, everything seems impossible to achieve. Write and track your disbeliefs, your feelings, all of the goals that failed.
But don’t forget, keep going! Even if it’s hard, keep moving forward! That’s how you will get where you want. That’s actually the only way.
Maybe it will take you more time that you were expecting, but if you persist, if you keep moving, you will get there. I promise!


It is important to create a plan to follow, but it is even more important to focus on keeping up with it. Have the strength and motivation to never give up! There will be obstacles that you need to contour, but with determination and motivation everything will be easier.

Motivation iѕ thе key, knowing that you need to stick to your goals is the door.
But moving forward is the only way you can get through that door!
Success will come if you only remember to keep moving!

Plan Your Day and Double Your Time

In the past, I did plan my mornings really well. The problem was that I would finish all of those tasks in the early hours of the day, and as I didn’t plan anything to do on the afternoon nor nights, I would procrastinate a lot more!

But I did learn the lesson, and now I plan both mornings and afternoons (and sometimes the nights).

Actually, I find that planning my next day is something I really enjoy doing, because it excites me for the next morning! (yup, i’m in a relationship with planning!).

Don’t plan excessively nor reductively your day.
Some people like to plan every second of their day, for me it doesn’t work that way. Because sometimes things that need to be done happen, and basically my day is all wrong.

Find the number of hours you can and want to work per day, and plan your tasks considering the amount of time you want to spend in them.

Of course, if you only have 3 hours of free time tomorrow, you won’t be able to clean all of your house, read a book and start your new blog.

Be rational when deciding your goals, but also believe that you can do everything you want!

But let’s put this into practice!

The Day Before:

  • Decide your 3 main goals (more about it here)

  • Break those big goals into small ones

  • Decide which ones you want to do in the morning and the other ones in the afternoon and/or night.

  • Organise your workspace!
    Make sure the place you’re going to work is well organised and ready for your daily tasks! You don’t want to lose any time nor motivation cleaning or organising the space around you.

Yup! That simple! But very effectively, because it pretty much doubles the time you have for your day. Only because you plan and break your big tasks into small ones, which makes them much easier to follow and accomplish!

Your “procrastination levels” will decrease exponentially, because you didn’t plan wasting your time, did you? Me neither!

It’s important to decide what you want to do in the day before so you won’t be spending your morning energy organising that stuff!

Now that you have organised everything that you need to do next morning, go to sleep! 😛

In the Morning:

As most of the things were already planned there’s just a few things to adjust to make sure you feel motivated and actually, excited to complete your goals!

  • Read the list of daily tasks you made the day before, and think if what you’ll going to do during the day will keep you close from your month/year/life main goal! If not, re-think what you planned!I prefer to do this in the mornings, because I’ve a lot more mental clarity to decide and analyse if the tasks for the day are according my long term objectives. If not, I change them (only the ones I have the freedom to not do, of course)!

During the Tasks:

  • When I’m working on what I was planning, I like to set up alarms on my phone to make a pause to analyse if I’m actually making progress, or just procrastinating.
    If you see you aren’t doing much because you’re having trouble focusing, do other tasks that don’t require the use of your brain that much!

In the end of the Day:

  • In the end of the day, review the progress you did throughout the day.
    If you see you didn’t have time to all the things you planned on doing, consider you’re over planning or you’re just procrastinating a lot!This reviewing process will help you set new goals and test new ways to accomplish more and more each day! Also by rejecting methods, projects and goals that aren’t leading to your final destination, you will be able to focus on only the ones that are important and that actually will make you succeed.

Increase your productivity by Becoming a Morning Person with a Step-By-Step Guide

In the morning the energy is fully-charged and wasting it sleeping won’t bring you nor success nor productivity, for sure!

A few years ago, weekends were my favourite days of the week because I could sleep a lot more in the mornings.

Today, I love the weekends because I can get up even early and use my “free” time to do what I love, or to work (which is the same).

Here’s a step-by-step guide that I follow to Become a Morning Person, every single day of the week!

1. Go to bed Early!

This may sounds obvious but it is actually the key to wake up early. If you go to bed at 2 a.m. and you’re willing to wake up at 7 a.m I can guarantee you will fail in the 2nd or 3rd day…

Try to sleep at least 7 hours, or make tests and find how many hours you need to sleep per night.

Option 1) If you have an alarm app that let’s you set a BedTime Alarm:

    1. Open the App

  1. Set a Bedtime Reminder to remind you 15 minutes before that you need to go to sleep

  2. Activate the Bedtime Reminder

Option 2) Create a Reminder in your phone:

    1. Open your calendar or any Reminder App

    2. Create a new event

    3. Set the time you should go to bed
    4. Set an alert 15 minutes before
    5. Set the Repeat to: Everyday

2. Stop hitting the Snooze Button!

Do your morning self a favor, and stop hitting the snooze button.
You are starting your day by telling yourself: “I don’t have energy to get up. How am I supposed to be productive and do something valuable during the day?”

Are you really letting your sub-conscious control you? Are you that weak? Prove yourself you can get up the minute your alarm sounds!

“Sleep doctors say that pressing snooze is the equivalent of hitting yourself on the head with a hammer”… well this may give you an extra reason to stop snoozing.

3. Reward Yourself!

I love this technique because it gives me an extra reason to get up early. So basically I set goals and if I achieve them I can reward myself!

Example: If I wake up at 7 a.m. for 7 days in a row I allow myself to spend 30$ in a new item that I really want to buy!

  1. Write a google docs/piece of paper the time you would like to wake up for the next 7 days

  2. Set the Reward

  3. If you achieve your goal you can have your Reward!

4. Set goals/intentions before going to bed.

When you have an event the next day that excites you, maybe your birthday, a vacation or Christmas eve, you are so excited to get up that you wake even before the sound of your alarm.

Your main goal is to set an intention for the next day that tells your brain it’s like Christmas Eve, every single day, every single year!

Here’s How I Do It:

  1. Create a notebook (Evernote) to write your everyday 3 goals

  2. Write in Evernote or in a piece of paper, 3 goals for the next day that you want to achieve.

    Make sure you have at least 1 goal that really excites you and gives you strength to get up in the morning!

5. Drink a glass of water!

Most of the times you feel tired in the morning, even though you slept for 8 hours, means your body needs water! Hydrate yourself, your body will appreciate it!

6. More 15 minutes!

When you become familiar with waking at 7 a.m, for example, wake 15 minutes earlier and enjoy 15 more productive minutes every day!


As you can see becoming a morning person can be pretty easy if you follow all of these simple steps!

Here’s a summary of what you should do to become a morning person:

  1. Go to Bed Early and set alarms to remind you.
  2. Don’t hit the Snooze button!
  3. Reward Yourself.
  4. Set 3 goals for the day.
  5. Drink a Glass of Water
  6. Wake up 15 minutes earlier when you become familiar with your new early bird routine.

How to Wake up Energised and Productive

Did I succeed, you may ask…? Yes!  Some of the tricks I will give you here are from some really good books I read, online courses, podcasts, blog posts, but specially they came from my personal experience and what I tested and know that works for me, and will probably work for you.

If you are interested and motivated in Waking Up Energised and Ready for the day, than this post is for you!

Waking up tired and without energy? Not Anymore!


1.Plan your day the night before:

This is the reason why most people end up spending their morning energy deciding useless things, when they should use it in more important things that actually will bring you results! Because when you get to the end of the day really tired it is mostly because of the decisions you made during the day. So following the logic, if you make all the worthless decisions the night before (when your energy is already needing a refuel), you are allowing yourself to save energy next morning!

What I do/decide the night before is:

-The clothes I’m going to wear the next day;

-What I want to eat for breakfast;

-3 goals I want to achieve next day. Just 3? You may ask. I know, we all got more than 3 things to do. But reduce them to the most important ones, focusing on the things that will bring you results and success in long term.


2.Create a Morning Routine/Ritual:
It may sounds cliché to you, but it can make your day much productive. The trick is to find the perfect routine for you. I will write here my EVERYDAY Morning routine, you can adapt it to make sure it fits you!

-Waking Up and Meditate. This is a pretty simple process, where I just wake up, sit on the bed (with the lights off) and close my eyes for 1/2 minutes. This will help you to relax and stay focused for your tasks through the day.

-I look at myself, in the mirror, and I smile… Widely! This may sounds ridiculous, but it works really great! Actually when I look at myself, smiling at my own, I even laugh just thinking how weird I may look! And this gives your brain the message: I am HAPPY! Is there anything better than this?

-I drink a big glass of water with 1/2 lemon juice! This will help keep you hydrated and it also speeds up your metabolism which may help you lose weight.

-I have a shower, get dressed, do my skin routine, makeup, etc…

-This is my favourite part of my morning routine! I go outside (if where you live is cold, you can do that inside), and I walk in my garden (you can walk in a public park/avenues), while reading! I take my eReader/a physical book or an audiobook with me, and I just walk for 15-30 minutes reading/listening to a good book. I recommend you to pick up a book that will inspire and give you good ideas (business successful stories, self-help, biographies, motivational books, etc).

After my reading time I take my smartphone and I write some notes about the book or ideas I had while reading it. I recommend you to use Evernote, but any other app or notebook will do. This will stimulate your brain and keep it ready and wake for everything that comes next in the day!

-Have my breakfast! Also an important part of your routine! Make sure you eat well, and avoid sugary food.

-A 3/4 minutes last morning meditation. Sometimes I skip this one and do it along with my first morning meditation. What I do here is thinking about my 3 important goals for the day, and how I plan doing them. I after list 3 to 5 five things that I’m grateful that happened the day before. This seems really difficult, but once you list one thing the ones will come right over. This will give you a positive feeling about your life!


3.Get Excited!
If before going to bed you’re already thinking about how boring your next day will be and how many tasks you need to complete, of course you will wake up with a negative energy and mind! Get Excited with everything you need to do! Of course, throwing up the garbage isn’t a really exciting thing, but why not turning it into something cool? How? Put your headphones and while doing this task listen to an interesting audiobook/podcast.

Your 3 daily goals should actually make you excited too! Are you planning to start reading a new book? Working on a project you really love? Doing some exercise? Start writing your first novel or Blog Post? Learning and Mastering a new Topic? Those are just a few examples of the exciting things you can plan and you SHOULD do every single day! And it doesn’t matter if it’s a weekday or a weekend, if you’re doing what you love the rest is just a small detail.


4.A Day Starts in the Morning!
You decided the 3 most important goals you want to achieve that day, so why don’t you start in the first hour of the day achieving them? Even if that means waking up early, that shouldn’t be a problem because you’re doing what you love.

Putting in practise one of your goals in the morning, will give you a feeling of accomplishment that will last all day, which will boost your confidence, motivation, positiveness, etc!


5.Exercise your body! 
I don’t like to run much, I prefer to walk! So that’s what I do everyday when I’m going to school, or to any other place. With good music every street will look like 5th Avenue. This will keep give you an extra energy boost and happiness!


6.Learn, Learn and Learn! 
I challenge you to do this right now! In a sheet of paper, or on your smartphone, write everything you want to learn (business topics, how to write better, language courses, programming, designing, yoga, html, nutrition, maths, anatomy, etc)!  Decide one or two topics that you are more curious about, and start learning them!

Take courses, read books, watch youtube videos, find blogs/forums/pages, etc that will help you accomplish your goals! And Master everything you’re willing to learn!


7.Inbox: 0 – Email
This may sounds like an useless tip, but it will actually help you in the task of keeping your mind much more cleaner and organised.-

The challenge is: Delete all of the emails that aren’t important (newsletter, advertising, etc) and archive the ones you want to save or keep. The ones that should stay in your inbox are the ones that take longer to answer and you hadn’t time yet.
